Research and Development Center to start our research activities in welding has been inaugurated at our Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College on 14.08.2008 by

It has been appreciated that welding laboratory at ‘Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute’ is a world class laboratory in India for welding Training.
 
OBJECTIVE
 
This institute has extensive state of art welding and testing facilites for carrying out various research & development activities and provides wide exposure to students. The main objective of our institute.
 
·         To conduct research for the Industries and Institute requirement on welding.
 
·          To conduct weld failure analysis.
 
·          To carry out macro and micro examination on similar and dissimilar metals

  • Grain size estimation, grain cleaning and boundary delinition(ASTM-E112/E1382)
  • Graphite Flake Analsys-size class, %distribution (ASTM-247)
  • Inclusion Analysis (ASTM  E 45 and  E 1122)
  • Double disc Grinding / lapping m/c for metallurgical specimen polishing
  • Belt grinder for specimen preparation
